Internal structure
BSA research committees: sociological theories and
methods, social stratification, sociology of poverty,
sociology of youth, women studies, sociology of work,
sociology of education, sociology of war and the
military.
Activities
The Bulgarian Sociological Association is a professional
non-profit organization, which promotes theoretical
analysis, research, teaching and publication in sociology
in Bulgaria. Its members include academics, experts in
the public and private sectors, postgraduate and
undergraduate students who share concern about sociology
and social issues. BSA holds bi-annual congresses,
conferences and seminars and produces a refereed journal.
BSA objectives are to support and represent the interests
of its members in their professional activities, to
provide a network for sociologists in the country, and to
further links with other sociological associations in
Europe and the world.
