Enhancements to social science databases
from Sociological Abstracts

CSA Sociological Abstracts, CSA Social Services Abstracts, and_CSA Worldwide Political Science Abstracts, long regarded as authoritative and vital research tools in the social and political sciences, have recently been significantly enhanced.

  • More than 1,600,000 Cited References have been added to the CSA social science databases. Included with Core Journal articles in CSA Worldwide Political Science Abstracts since 2001 and in CSA Sociological Abstracts since 2002, the feature is being extended to all journal articles included in all three databases as of 2004.

  • 1963 - 1972 records in CSA Sociological Abstracts now include abstracts, increasing access to this literature.

  • 1952 - 1962 backfiles, including abstracts, will be added to CSA Sociological Abstracts in 2005, offering electronic availability to some of the early literature of sociology.

CSA Sociological Abstracts also helps to disseminate information about International Sociological Association publications. Conference papers presented at the International Sociological Association World Congresses have been abstracted and indexed in CSA Sociological Abstracts since 1970. The CSA databases also provide citations to articles and book reviews published in the association publications, International Sociology, Current Sociology, and SAGE Studies in International Sociology.

These enhancements result from CSA's long-standing commitment to improve quality and depth of content of its databases. For further information, visit www.csa.com; CSA welcomes user comments about the databases - please contact Jill Blaemers at jblaemers@csa.com.
