Tenure-stream Position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Sociology - Social Inequality and the Life Course
The Department of Sociology is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track professor position, at the rank of assistant or associate. The appointed candidate will be nominated for the Canada Research Chairs program, Tier II. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at all three levels of the curriculum, supervise graduate students, engage in ongoing research and publication, and contribute to the academic life and reputation of the University.
• PhD in Sociology (or in a related field) specializing in the combination of quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
• Doctorate obtained in the last 10 years.
• Publications reflecting an outstanding contribution to research in the field of social inequality and the life course.
• Teaching experience.
• Proficiency in the French language.*
