Lecturer in Sociology
The Department of Sociology invites applications for the position of Lecturer, with a view to making the appointment for the start of the 2014 academic year. While the Department sees this above all as an opportunity to appoint a candidate in the early stage of an academic career whose sociological training is suited to any of its areas of strength or teaching programmes, preference may be given to candidates who are able to contribute to its teaching and research in Industrial Sociology.

The position is offered as a permanent, full-time post and appointment will be dependent on the candidate having completed or being close to completion of a PhD in an appropriate field.
The 2013 annual remuneration package, including benefits at Lecturer level, is R457 223.
