International Sociological Association is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Alexander, Yale University, USA, will be awarded the Mattei Dogan Foundation Prize in Sociology for his lifetime accomplishments, as a scholar of very high standing in the profession and of outstanding international reputation.

We will have the opportunity of savoring his brilliance at the ISA World Congress of Sociology in Gothenburg, Sweden when Jeffery Alexander will deliver the Dogan Prize Lecture as part of the plenary Presidential Prize-Giving Session on Monday, July 12, 2010.
