State-of-the-art review articles in the social sciences
A publication of the International Sociological Association and SAGE

Sociopedia.isa is an online database with “state-of-the-art” review articles in the social sciences. Being a joint venture of the International Sociological Association (ISA) and SAGE, Sociopedia.isa offers the opportunity to publish high quality papers in the social sciences rapidly. Imaginative editing and peer review guarantee such quality, while the internet makes it possible to provide the most recent ‘state-of-the-art’ of a field in sociology. Sociopedia.isa, then, offers ‘living social science’.

We invite scholars to submit ‘state-of-the-art’ review articles in the social sciences for publication in Sociopedia.isa. Articles should give an overview of theoretical approaches, a review of empirical evidence, an assessment of research to date and a discussion of the future direction that theorizing and research might take. Articles are submitted in English and should not exceed 7000 words (references not included). For more details about the structure of entries or the review procedure please visit our website: http://www.isa-sociology.org/publ/sociopedia-isa

To discuss the desired topic of a paper or to submit an entry send an email to the Sociopedia.isa secretariat at: sociopedia.isa.fsw@vu.nl

Note: Every three months, 5 entries are made freely accessible.

Moreover: Every year, 8-10 Sociopedia.isa entries are selected to be published in a Review Issue of Current Sociology. After being adapted to the CS format, the paper turns into a hard copy publication in one of the two flagship journals of the ISA.
