United Nations Crime Congress 2026
Call for Presentations
The United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice is the world’s largest and most diverse gathering in the field, bringing together policymakers, practitioners, academics, intergovernmental organizations, and civil society. Held every five years since 1955, the Congress offers a unique space to:
- Exchange views and experiences across research, law, and policy.
- Learn about new and emerging trends in crime prevention and criminal justice.
- Connect with colleagues from a wide range of disciplines and regions.
For academics and researchers, the Congress is a chance to share work with an international audience, build networks, and gain insights from global perspectives.
The International Sociological Association (ISA), through its consultative status with ECOSOC, will organize one or more ancillary sessions at the next Congress in Abu Dhabi, UAE, 25–30 April 2026. These sessions may be held in person, online, or in a hybrid format, and will align with the overall theme:
“Accelerating crime prevention, criminal justice and the rule of law: protecting people and planet and achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the digital age”.
Further details on the Congress can be found here: UNODC Congress website.
Please note that ISA cannot provide funding for participation, though there is no registration fee to attend the Congress itself.
